James Madison Dukes Prepare to Face Washington State Cougars on Senior Day
HARRISONBURG, Va. – The No. 21 James Madison Dukes are set to face the Washington State Cougars on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Bridgeforth Stadium for Senior Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The Dukes, with a record of 9-1, are currently atop the Sun Belt Conference. Washington State enters the matchup with a 5-5 record, coming off a decisive 28-3 win against Louisiana Tech. This game marks Washington State’s fourth match against a ranked opponent this season.
Washington State has faced challenging opponents, including No. 5 Ole Miss and No. 19 Virginia earlier this season. The Cougars need one more victory to become eligible for bowl play. Their first-year head coach Jimmy Rogers noted their readiness, saying, “Every game is crucial, and we are focused on getting the win.”
On the field, Washington State quarterback Zevi Eckhaus showcased his skills last week, completing 17 of 25 passes for 146 yards, with one touchdown and no interceptions, in addition to two rushing touchdowns.
In preparation for the Dukes, Eckhaus commented, “We know JMU has been strong this year. It’s a big game for us.” The Cougars’ defense has been a key strength, allowing an average of just 11.5 points in the last six games.
This game will also celebrate the first-ever collegiate Marvel Super Heroes Day, adding excitement for fans attending the event. Following their game against James Madison, Washington State will return home to host Oregon State.
Fans can listen to the live radio broadcast on the Cougar Sports Network and various local stations starting two hours before kickoff. Tune in to the Cougar Talk call-in show for insights after the game.
As anticipation builds, both teams are looking to secure a significant win as they head toward the conclusion of their seasons.
