Jason Anderson Supercross Injury Announcement

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Jason Anderson, a leading figure in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series, has announced he will miss the remainder of the 2025 season due to ongoing health concerns, confirmed Thursday by his team, Monster Energy Kawasaki.

Anderson’s decision follows a missed appearance at the Seattle round last weekend, which was initially attributed to a family emergency. However, Kawasaki clarified that his current absence is related to personal health issues not connected to the previously mentioned family matter.

In an Instagram post from the team, they stated, “After sitting out Seattle, Jason Anderson has made the decision with the support of his family and Kawasaki to sit out the remainder of the Supercross season to address ongoing health concerns. His current plan is to focus on returning to competition for the Pro Motocross series fully prepared and ready to compete.”

Entering the 12th round of the championship, Anderson sits seventh in the 450SX standings with 151 points, trailing championship leader Cooper Webb by 85 points. Anderson had an up-and-down season, with finishes of 3-13-3-7-3-6-11-8-11-7 in his ten main event starts, including three podium finishes in the first five races.

Cooper Webb, who claimed victory at the Seattle round, extended his points lead from eight to eleven over Chase Sexton, who took second place. The two riders have emerged as the primary contenders for the championship as the series shifts back to the East Coast for the upcoming Foxborough round.

The competition in the 450SX class continues to heat up as the remaining riders aim to capitalize on each round, especially with a challenging track layout expected at Foxborough, which features multiple rhythm sections and passing opportunities. The next round, scheduled for April 5, adds another layer of excitement as riders prepare for the battle ahead.

Meanwhile, Monster Energy Kawasaki will remain active at the remaining Supercross rounds, continuing to support its other riders in the series. The team has committed to ensuring a strong presence despite Anderson’s departure from the competition.
