Jason Statham’s Upcoming Projects and Recent Streaming Success
Jason Statham, one of the most recognizable action stars, has been making waves in the entertainment industry with both his recent streaming successes and upcoming projects. His 2016 film, *Mechanic: Resurrection*, which stars alongside Tommy Lee Jones, Michelle Yeoh, and Jessica Alba, has been a significant hit on streaming platforms. Despite receiving a 31% score from critics and a 40% rating from general audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has managed to stay in the top 10 on Freevee for over 100 days, although it is currently trending downwards and sits at the #10 spot.
In addition to his streaming success, Statham has several exciting projects on the horizon. He is set to appear in an upcoming action thriller directed by David Ayer, titled *Levon’s Trade*, which also stars David Harbour and Michael Peña. Furthermore, Statham will reprise his role as Deckard Shaw in the final installment of the *Fast & Furious* franchise, *Fast X: Part 2*. He will also return as Adam Clay in *The Beekeeper 2*, with filming scheduled to begin soon. Another project includes *Mutiny*, where he will star alongside Annabelle Wallis and Lee Charles.
Statham’s career has been marked by his ability to produce and star in his own films. For instance, he produced and starred in *Wild Card*, an adaptation of William Goldman’s thriller novel, which although did not receive a warm commercial and critical reception, did not harm his career. Statham’s collaboration with director Simon West in *Wild Card* and other films like *The Expendables 2* and *The Mechanic* has been notable for its energetic and fast-paced action sequences.
With a diverse range of roles and projects, Jason Statham continues to be a dominant figure in the action genre, maintaining a strong fan base and anticipation for his future films.
