He joined USC in 2021 as a backup and later transferred to Ole Miss in 2022, where he ultimately became the full-time starting quarterback.

During his time at Ole Miss, Dart led the SEC in passing yards in 2024, amassing a total of 4,279 yards with a remarkable 69.3% completion rate. His impressive performance earned him first-team All-SEC honors, and he won the Conerly Trophy, recognizing him as Mississippi’s top college player.
