Jaxson Dart Ole Miss Usc Quarterback Nfl Draft

Kaysville, Utah — Jaxson Dart, the former Ole Miss and USC quarterback, is set to take the next big step in his football career as he prepares for the 2025 NFL Draft. Dart declared for the draft in December 2024, where he is predicted to be a first-round pick by Sporting News and a second-rounder by Pro Football Network. He recently showcased his skills at the NFL Combine, ranking fourth among quarterbacks with a score of 78 and a 6.17 prospect grade, hinting at his potential as a backup with starter upside.

Born on May 13, 2003, in Kaysville, Utah, Dart began his high school career at Roy High before transferring to Corner Canyon High, where he set a state record with 67 passing touchdowns. Over his high school career, he threw for 4,691 yards, earning the Gatorade National Player of the Year award. He joined USC in 2021 as a backup and later transferred to Ole Miss in 2022, where he ultimately became the full-time starting quarterback.

During his time at Ole Miss, Dart led the SEC in passing yards in 2024, amassing a total of 4,279 yards with a remarkable 69.3% completion rate. His impressive performance earned him first-team All-SEC honors, and he won the Conerly Trophy, recognizing him as Mississippi’s top college player. Across four seasons and 45 games, Dart completed 852 of 1,307 passes for 11,970 yards, 81 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions. Known for his mobility, poise, and arm strength, he is hailed as one of the top quarterback prospects in his class.

Influenced heavily by his parents, both former college athletes, Jaxson’s journey was shaped by their guidance and support. His father, Brandon Dart, played football for the University of Utah and instilled in Jaxson an understanding of the game. Brandon, a strong safety, faced injuries in his career but taught Jaxson resilience and strategy. Kara Dart, Jaxson’s mother, was a standout athlete in high school, excelling in track and volleyball. She provided emotional support and guidance throughout Jaxson’s transition from USC to Ole Miss.

As Dart approaches the NFL Draft, he reflects on the support system that has propelled him to this point. He describes the influence of his family and their commitment to his football journey. “My parents created a balance of discipline and encouragement,” Dart said. “They have always supported my dreams of reaching the NFL.” With talent and strong family backing, Dart aims to make a significant impact in the NFL.
