Jenna Hager Unveils Dramatic Bob on Live TV

New York, NY — Jenna Bush Hager debuted a fresh bob hairstyle on live television during the June 16 episode of ‘Today with Jenna & Friends.’ The transformation comes after Hager, 43, was inspired by actress Leslie Bibb‘s look from HBO’s hit series, The White Lotus.

As she walked on stage with Bibb, who co-hosted the episode, Hager declared, ‘This is my hair.’ Hager reflected on the change, noting, ‘I feel a little… you know that ’90s movie Single White Female, where you try to copy somebody to such an extent? You made this haircut so famous, and I’m feeling a little strange.’

Bibb quickly reassured Hager, stating, ‘You don’t look strange. You look sexy and powerful and glamorous. You’re a badass.’ Despite her colleagues’ support, Hager admitted her three children were less than enthusiastic about her new look, sharing a video of their reactions. One daughter pretended to cry, which Hager humorously termed ‘our love language.’

‘The best thing is my husband [Henry Hager] did like it,’ she said. ‘He was like, “D—, that’s hot.”‘ Bibb chimed in, sharing that Hager’s husband defended her against their children’s criticism, saying, ‘She don’t know fashion.’

During the show, celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan, who cut Hager’s hair live, discussed the growing popularity of bob hairstyles. ‘When I was here back in March, Jenna vowed to get on board with the bob, and today is the day,’ Bibb exclaimed.

Hager, known for long, flowing hair, previously joked about losing a clip-in extension at a Beyoncé concert, highlighting her fun approach to hair. In 2020, she even took to Zoom with a stylist to demonstrate hair care after lockdown restrictions limited salon visits.

McMillan reflected on Hager’s haircut, noting, ‘The intention wasn’t to give her a bob; it was to grow her out into a bob.’ Hager’s new look immediately sparked interest and admiration among her viewers as she embraced the change.
