Jerry Kramer Green Bay Packers Nfl Draft

BILLINGS, Mont. — Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Jerry Kramer is set to announce one of the Green Bay Packers‘ selections on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft this weekend.

Kramer, 89, who was born in Jordan, Minnesota, played in 130 games as a guard for the Packers from 1958 to 1968. During his tenure, he helped the team win five NFL championships, including Super Bowls I and II at the close of the 1966 and 1967 seasons.

After moving to Sandpoint, Idaho, as a child, Kramer played college football at the University of Idaho from 1955 to 1957. The university later retired his No. 64 jersey in recognition of his contributions. Kramer was selected as the 39th overall pick by Green Bay in the 1958 draft and quickly established himself as one of the top offensive linemen in professional football under the guidance of legendary coach Vince Lombardi.

Throughout his career, Kramer earned first-team All-Pro honors five times and was selected for three Pro Bowls. His impressive accolades include being named to the NFL’s all-decade team for the 1960s and the league’s 50th anniversary all-time team in 1969. He was also inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame and, after many years on the ballot, entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.

According to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Kramer will be joined by fellow Hall of Famers Dave Robinson (Packers), Lynn Swan (Steelers), and Joe Thomas (Browns) in announcing draft picks this weekend.
