Jitesh Sharma Named Punjab Kings Vice-Captain for IPL 2024 Season
Punjab Kings have officially named Jitesh Sharma as the vice-captain for the upcoming IPL 2024 season, as revealed during the captain’s photoshoot in anticipation of the tournament opener against Delhi Capitals.
Jitesh Sharma, a rising talent in the squad, will be the deputy to team skipper Shikhar Dhawan as Punjab Kings take on Delhi Capitals on Saturday at Mohali.

Jitesh Sharma, 30, joined Punjab Kings during the 2022 IPL mega auction and has steadily established himself as the primary wicketkeeper for the franchise, showcasing his prowess with the bat during IPL 2023 where he amassed 309 runs in 14 innings at an impressive strike rate.
Having earned his first international cap during the Asian Games 2023, Jitesh Sharma is also a part of India’s T20I squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, marking a crucial year for the young player to solidify his position in both domestic and international cricket.
