Jodie Comer Shares Heartwarming Interaction With Jodie Foster On Broadway Debut

Renowned actress Jodie Comer, known for her role in the popular TV show Killing Eve, recently appeared on The Graham Norton Show where she shared a heartwarming interaction with fellow actress Jodie Foster during her Broadway debut.

Comer made her debut on the prestigious Broadway stage in Suzie Miller’s play Prima Facie, portraying the character Tessa Ensler, a criminal defense lawyer who grapples with her convictions after becoming a victim of rape.

After one of her performances, Jodie Foster, an eminent actress herself, attended the show and left a beautiful note for Comer. Foster’s note, written on a torn page from the Playbill, ended with the message ‘From the other Jodie.’

The sweet gesture from Foster sparked amusement in Comer, who jokingly suggested that she was, in fact, the ‘other Jodie.’

During the interview, Comer also discussed the differences she experienced while performing in London and New York. One notable difference was the American audience’s tendency to applaud even before the play had begun. While she found this gesture kind, Comer admitted that it posed a challenge as it set high expectations from the start.

Aside from sharing these delightful anecdotes, Comer was also celebrated for her exceptional performance in Prima Facie by winning the prestigious 2023 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. This well-deserved recognition further solidifies Comer’s standing as a versatile actress capable of delivering powerful performances on both stage and screen.
