Joe Rogan Meidastouch Podcast Rankings

NEW YORK, NY — Joe Rogan has lost his long-held position as the top podcast host, supplanted by the left-leaning MeidasTouch Podcast, according to data from Podscribe. The shift, occurring less than a month into President Joe Biden‘s new administration, reflects changing listener preferences among American audiences.

Rogan’s show, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ recorded 48.6 million downloads and plays this month, a significant 32% drop from the previous month. In contrast, the MeidasTouch Podcast experienced a surge in popularity, amassing 56 million downloads and plays, marking an impressive 101% increase.

Founded by brothers Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas, MeidasTouch describes itself as a ‘pro-democracy news network.’ Initially gaining traction through viral videos and political ads that opposed Trump, the podcast has become a vocal critic of the former president.

In a recent episode, Ben Meiselas stated, ‘The buck stops with you, whether Trump wants to admit it or not, he needs to take responsibility for everything that is going on. I think it is up to the people to hold him responsible, and I know that’s what we’re gonna do here every single day.’

This development suggests a notable turn in the podcasting landscape, which has previously been dominated by conservative voices such as Rogan, Shawn Ryan, and Ben Shapiro. Trump’s appearances on various podcasts, steering clear of traditional media outlets, aimed to rally voters during his successful campaign for reelection in 2024.

The pivot in audience preference raises questions about whether the MeidasTouch Podcast can maintain its lead or if new satirical and anti-Trump content will rise as challengers for the top podcast spot.

Amid these changes, the podcast landscape has seen a marked engagement from listeners eager for alternatives to the conservative-leaning dialogue that has previously thrived. Congressman Robert Garcia took to social media to congratulate MeidasTouch, saying, ‘Congrats to @MeidasTouch. Well done @meiselasb and the whole crew. We need to be everywhere to reach working people and get our message out. Let’s keep it up.’

As the political climate continues to evolve, the battle for the top podcast ranking is expected to intensify, with further implications for the current media landscape.
