Joe Rogan Dethroned as Most Popular Podcast by MeidasTouch

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Joe Rogan has lost his position as the top podcast in the United States to the left-leaning MeidasTouch Podcast just weeks into President Donald Trump‘s second term, according to data from Podscribe.
The MeidasTouch Podcast, which is vocal in its criticism of Trump, has surged ahead with 56 million downloads and plays—an increase of 101 percent from the previous month. In contrast, Rogan’s show, The Joe Rogan Experience, saw a decline of 32 percent, totaling 48.6 million downloads and plays, marking his drop from the number one spot.
The growing dominance of the MeidasTouch Podcast indicates a potential shift in audience preferences. Founded by brothers Ben, Brett, and Jordy Meiselas, this pro-democracy platform initially gained traction by producing viral videos and political ads aimed at countering Trump’s political narrative.
In the latest episode of the podcast, Ben Meiselas emphasized accountability, stating, “The buck stops with you, whether Trump wants to admit it or not. He needs to take responsibility for everything that is going on, and it is up to the people to hold him responsible.”
Rogan, known for his robust support of Trump, frequently hosted the former president during the 2024 campaign. This included a lengthy interview where they discussed various issues to appeal to younger voters. However, following Trump’s reelection announcement, Rogan’s podcast has seen a notable dip in popularity.
MeidasTouch celebrated its rise to the top on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, proclaiming, “The MeidasTouch Podcast is officially the #1 podcast in the U.S. per the newly released Podscribe industry rankings, with 57.7 million downloads and views per month.”
Congressman Robert Garcia congratulated the MeidasTouch team, posting, “Congrats to @MeidasTouch. Well done @meiselasb and the whole crew. We need to be everywhere to reach working people and get our message out. Let’s keep it up.”
As the media landscape shifts, the competition among podcasts intensifies. It remains unclear whether MeidasTouch can maintain its newfound lead, especially as other anti-Trump podcasts prepare to enter the fray. The current ranking shift suggests that audiences may seek alternative perspectives as political discourse evolves.
