Joey Logano White House Visit Nascar Cup Series

Washington, D.C. — Joey Logano, the 34-year-old NASCAR Cup Series champion, recently shared his experiences during his visit to the White House. This visit came after winning his third title in the series, making it his second appearance at the White House under President Donald Trump.

Logano was accompanied by his team owner and NASCAR Commissioner Steve Phelps as they visited the iconic location in American politics. Unlike his previous visit in 2018, Logano revealed that this trip featured unexpected surprises. He recounted when the President led him and other motor racing honorees into a room he humorously described as a ‘closet,’ which was filled with Trump merchandise.

‘Probably the funniest part is — he didn’t have this there last time I was there — but this time like he’s got this closet that’s just outside the Oval Office,’ Logano said. ‘I call it a closet. It’s bigger than a closet. But it has all this Trump merch in there. And he’s like, ‘Just grab whatever you want.’

With several drivers present, including Blaney, Newgarden, and IMSA racers, Logano noted the surprising variety of items available. ‘You know there’s shoes, there’s watches. This guy’s got merch like you wouldn’t believe,’ he stated.

Logano described the experience as feeling unusual, joking that they felt as if they were ‘robbing the place’ as they took items. ‘Roger [Penske] was looking at us. He’s like, ‘Grab me a hat or something.’ But like, we’re taking shoes and we’re taking stuff.’

This unique experience highlighted the unexpected moments that can arise during such visits, mixing sports with a touch of humor in a room filled with memorabilia.
