He was drafted by the Utah Jazz in the first round (16th pick) of the 1984 NBA Draft after a stellar collegiate career at Gonzaga University.

Stockton’s NBA career spanned 19 years, all of which he spent with the Utah Jazz. During this period, he established himself as one of the greatest point guards in NBA history. He is a member of the NBA’s Top 50 and Top 75 lists, a Hall of Fame player, and a two-time Olympic gold medalist. Stockton was a 10-time NBA All-Star and earned two All-NBA First Team selections. His jersey number (#12) was retired by the Utah Jazz in recognition of his contributions to the team.

Stockton’s statistical achievements are equally impressive. He holds the NBA records for most career assists (15,806) and steals (3,265).
