Upcoming Hollywood film ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ is set to captivate audiences with a unique twist – it will be a jukebox musical sequel starring award-winning actors Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga.

The sequel, scheduled for release on October 4, coincides with the fifth anniversary of the original film, adding to the anticipation surrounding the project.

Sources reveal that the movie will feature a lineup of at least 15 well-known songs, with a particular mention of ‘That’s Entertainment‘ from Judy Garland’s 1953 film, The Band Wagon, indicating a nostalgic musical experience for viewers.

Composer Hildur Guðnadóttir, known for her work on the first ‘Joker’ film, has hinted at a musical focus for the sequel, promising a soundtrack filled with ‘a lot of music’ to enhance the storytelling.

Joining Phoenix and Lady Gaga in the ensemble cast are talented individuals including Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, and Brendan Gleeson, each bringing their unique essence to the production.

Director Todd Phillips, in collaboration with Scott Silver, has worked on crafting a screenplay that promises to delve into the intricate dynamics between the characters, offering fans a deeper look into the world of the Joker and Harley Quinn.
