Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 11 of the 2024-25 season. The league announced the honors on January 6, 2025, recognizing their standout performances from December 30 to January 5.

Jokić, the reigning MVP, dominated the Western Conference with averages of 28.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game during the week. The Nuggets went 3-1, with Jokić recording a triple-double in three of those games. His most impressive performance came in a 125-118 victory over the Golden State Warriors, where he tallied 34 points, 15 rebounds, and 12 assists.

In the Eastern Conference, Tatum led the Celtics to a 3-1 record, averaging 25.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. His best game came against the Minnesota Timberwolves on January 2, where he scored 33 points, dished out nine assists, grabbed eight rebounds, and recorded three steals in a 118-115 win. Tatum became the second Celtics player in franchise history to achieve at least nine assists, eight rebounds, six three-pointers, and three steals in a single game, joining Antoine Walker.

This marks the second time this season Tatum has earned the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award, making him the first NBA player to achieve multiple weekly honors this season. It is also the 12th time in his career he has received the accolade, placing him third in Celtics history behind Paul Pierce (17) and Larry Bird (15).

Both players continue to solidify their status as league superstars, with Jokić leading the Nuggets’ charge in the West and Tatum anchoring the Celtics’ pursuit of an NBA title in the East.
