Jordan Spieth At Buffalo Wild Wings

Pittsburgh, PA – After navigating the challenging terrain of Oakmont Country Club during the U.S. Open, Jordan Spieth found an unconventional way to recharge. He headed to Buffalo Wild Wings for some wings and a few beers with his caddie, Michael Greller.

“I had a few beers Sunday,” Spieth said during a press conference ahead of the Travelers Championship. “I didn’t exactly eat or drink the way I normally do there. Most of the time, my recovery is very good, but sometimes post-U.S. Open, I just needed to throw a few back.”

Spieth’s visit to the restaurant came after a rigorous four-day tournament where only a handful of players finished under par. Despite the tough competition, Spieth secured a T-23 finish, adding to his stable of eight top-25 finishes this season.

“My legs were a little clumsy the last two days,” Spieth commented on his recovery. “I woke up this morning and feel ready and fresh. If you can get there by Wednesday morning or sooner after hitting a couple training sessions, then we’re good to go.”

The Travelers Championship marks Spieth’s tenth tournament in the last twelve weeks, a period of active play following a month off due to wrist surgery. The Texas native previously won the Travelers in 2017 after an exhilarating playoff finish.

“I think a lot about recovery now,” he admitted, noting the importance of maintaining a balanced diet as he ages. “But every now and then, a guy can indulge. Wings. Beer. Sports. That’s all we need sometimes.”
