Joselyne Edwards Aims for Stoppage Win Against Chelsea Chandler at UFC Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Joselyne Edwards is confident ahead of her fight against Chelsea Chandler at UFC on ESPN 66, set for Saturday at the T-Mobile Center. The 14-6 Panamanian, competing in the women’s bantamweight division, aims to achieve what no one has done against Chandler: a stoppage victory.
Edwards, who holds a record of 5-4 in the UFC, acknowledges Chandler’s durability but believes her skills exceed those of her opponent. “Honestly, I have it all to win this fight,” said Edwards. “I’m training hard. It’s true that she’s a strong fighter, very big. I’m not scared of anyone. I feel like I can finish her, knock her out. This fight is ending by finish, I’m sure of that.”
Edwards requested the matchup with Chandler, viewing it as a prime opportunity to secure a win against a ranked challenger. Her goal is to enter the official UFC women’s bantamweight rankings and climb higher. “I don’t see it that difficult, but you have to be very strategic to get to the title,” she said. “Once I get in the rankings, I’m going to start climbing.”
In her most recent fight, Edwards showcased improvements in striking and grappling, which she aims to display again. She is determined to make a statement this weekend, proclaiming, “I’m coming with everything, and I’m going to rip her head or leg off and do whatever it takes to move up the ranking.”
The event, which features several exciting matchups, will be streamed on ESPN. With Edwards’ fierce determination, fans are eager to see if she can deliver on her promises and secure a significant victory.
