Liga Mx Clausura 2025 Mazatlán Vs Juárez Match

Juárez FC and Mazatlán FC will clash in a high-stakes opening match of the Liga MX Clausura 2025 season on Friday, January 10, at Estadio El Encanto. The game marks the debut of Uruguayan coach Martín Varini with Juárez, as both teams aim to improve their standings in the league’s coefficient table.

Juárez enters the tournament in the penultimate position of the coefficient table with 85 points from 85 games, while Mazatlán sits at the bottom with 76 points from the same number of matches. The coefficient table determines financial penalties for the bottom three teams at the end of the season, adding urgency to the match.

In the previous Apertura 2024 season, Juárez finished 12th with 17 points, while Mazatlán ended in 14th place with 14 points. Both teams struggled defensively, with Juárez conceding 36 goals and Mazatlán allowing 19.

Juárez goalkeeper Sebastián Jurado emphasized the importance of a proactive approach. “We know Mazatlán is strong at home, but we must focus on our game and be aggressive from the start,” he said. Jurado highlighted Mazatlán’s key players, such as Amarilla and Pizarro, as threats that require careful defensive planning.

Martín Varini, the youngest coach in Liga MX history, expressed confidence in his team’s ability to compete. “Fans will see a brave and ambitious Juárez team that fights from the first minute to the last,” Varini stated during his official presentation in November 2024.

The match kicks off at 8:00 p.m. local time and will be broadcast on TV Azteca. Other notable fixtures on the opening day include Querétaro vs. América and Xolos vs. Toluca.
