FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has been voted into the Patriots Hall of Fame as the 37th inductee. The announcement was made on May 5, 2025, marking a significant milestone in Edelman’s career.

Edelman, who played his entire 12-year career with the Patriots after being drafted in the seventh round in 2009, is known for his clutch performances in major games. He is a three-time Super Bowl champion, joining the ranks of notable players like Troy Brown and Tedy Bruschi.

<p"Julian Edelman is one of the great success stories in our franchise’s history,” said Patriots owner Robert Kraft. “No one was more committed to his craft and honing his skills than Jules.” Edelman has been a fan favorite, recognized for his speed, quickness, and toughness on the field.

During his time with the Patriots, Edelman accumulated 620 receptions, 6,822 receiving yards, and 36 touchdowns, ranking second, fourth, and ninth in franchise history respectively. His postseason success is also notable, with 118 catches and 1,442 receiving yards, placing him third in NFL history.

He was named Super Bowl MVP for his performance in Super Bowl LIII, where he caught 10 passes for 141 yards against the Los Angeles Rams. Edelman also had memorable moments in Super Bowl LI and Super Bowl XLIX, showcasing his ability to perform under pressure.

As a punt returner, Edelman set the team record with four touchdowns and holds the franchise record for the longest punt return at 94 yards. He even stepped in as a defensive back during the 2011 season due to team injuries.

The Patriots will announce the date of the induction ceremony at a later time, which is expected to take place during training camp or early in the season. Edelman’s induction adds another chapter to a remarkable legacy within the franchise.
