Barranquilla, ColombiaJunior will face Deportes Tolima in their first match of the Liga Betplay Dimayor 2025 final quadrangular on Saturday, June 31, at 5:30 PM at Estadio Metropolitano.

Junior secured a significant win, triumphing 2-3 against Atlético Nacional in the last round, placing them among the top three teams from the regular phase. However, they missed the chance to gain a competitive advantage or invisible point for the quadrangular stage.

Head coach César Farías praised his team’s away performance, noting they collected 16 points from 30 possible, making them the best alongside Santa Fe. “We know Colombian football is not easy. We have a topographic disadvantage, but we have players who understand how to play in these situations,” said Farías.

Deportes Tolima, meanwhile, lost their opportunity for a competitive advantage after falling 1-2 to Águilas Doradas, dropping to fourth place. Coach Ismael Rescalvo had built a strong local presence, losing only one of ten home matches this season.

Possible lineups are as follows: Junior will field Mele, Guerrero, Báez, Rivera, Herrera, Moreno, Pava, Chará, Barrera, Castrillón, and Bacca. Deportes Tolima is set to start Fiermarín, Arrieta, Torres, Quiñones, Hernández, Nieto, Rovira, González, Pérez, Castro, and Lencina.
