Justin Tucker Nfl Suspension News

BALTIMORE, Md. — Justin Tucker, the former All-Pro kicker, is now eligible to return to the NFL after serving a 10-game suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. The suspension stemmed from allegations of sexual misconduct made by multiple massage therapists and was announced in June, leading to Tucker’s release from the Baltimore Ravens.

Tucker, who spent 11 seasons with the Ravens and is considered one of the greatest kickers in NFL history, was reinstated on November 11. He can now sign with any team looking for a reliable kicker as the league moves into the second half of the season.

The NFL’s investigation revealed claims made against Tucker from 2012 to 2016, prompting significant public scrutiny and discussion regarding his next steps. Tucker and his wife have denied all allegations, stating he did not behave inappropriately during treatment sessions.

Despite his impressive career stats, including a career field-goal percentage of 89.1%, Tucker struggled in his final season with the Ravens, hitting only 73.3% of his kicks. His lack of performance raised questions about his current abilities, leading to the team drafting rookie Tyler Loop to take over the kicking duties.

As Tucker now looks for a new team, potential landing spots include the Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, and Indianapolis Colts, all of which have had issues with inconsistent kicking this season.

The Rams, in particular, are desperate for a reliable kicker after swapping out their current ones for underperforming players. Tucker’s ability to perform in a dome could be advantageous given his past performance in Baltimore.

The Falcons have cycled through multiple kickers this season, leading some to speculate they might consider signing Tucker due to their inconsistent kicking game.

For the Packers, Brandon McManus has struggled significantly this year, raising concerns over whether the franchise might pursue Tucker, especially with playoff aspirations on the line.

Meanwhile, the Colts, who recently replaced their kicker, might also be exploring their options if their current player continues to miss kicks. Tucker’s long history of success could make him a viable candidate.

As Tucker waits to hear from potential teams, it’s clear that any organization considering him will have to weigh his football talent against the recent controversies that surround his name. The upcoming weeks will determine if one of the NFL’s most prolific kickers will be given a second chance.
