KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas State Wildcats will take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the first round of the Hall of Fame Classic on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 8:30 p.m. CT at the T-Mobile Center.
This matchup marks the fifth meeting between the two teams, with Kansas State leading the series 3-1. Their last meeting was a tight contest on December 14, 2019, where Mississippi State emerged victorious with a final score of 67-61.
The Wildcats (4-0) are riding high after starting the season strongly, averaging 93.5 points per game and demonstrating a powerful offensive presence. PJ Haggerty, the team’s leading scorer, has been a key player, averaging 26.0 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game.
Mississippi State (2-1) is looking to build on its recent 75-68 victory over Southeastern Louisiana. The Bulldogs have enjoyed success under fourth-year coach Chris Jans, with a notable record of 5-1 in multi-team tournament events.
In addition to the game, the event will honor legendary head coach Jack Hartman at halftime for his induction into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame. Hartman’s daughter, Jackie Hartman, will receive the induction medallion from NABC CEO Kevin Henderson.
This year’s Hall of Fame Classic showcases Kansas State’s fourth appearance, having previously recorded impressive performances in 2010 and 2015 but struggling in their last appearance in 2021. They aim to reclaim their glory in this prestigious tournament.
