Kansas Jayhawks Vs Oakland Golden Grizzlies Basketball Game

No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks extended their unbeaten streak to 4-0 with a convincing 78-57 victory over the Oakland Golden Grizzlies on Saturday, November 16, at the Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas.

AJ Storr led the Jayhawks with a season-high 16 points off the bench, while starters KJ Adams, Rylan Griffen, and Hunter Dickinson also reached double figures. Adams scored 10 of his 12 points in the first half, Griffen added 11, and Dickinson finished with 10 points and led the team with nine rebounds[4].

Kansas dominated the game from the outset, pulling away methodically in the first half to lead by 22 points at halftime. The Jayhawks maintained their advantage throughout the second half, never allowing Oakland to get closer than 18 points. Kansas played the final 4:32 of the game with only reserves on the court[4].

Oakland, now 1-3, was led by Allen Mukeba with 19 points and Tuburu Naivalurua with 12 points. However, the Golden Grizzlies struggled significantly from 3-point range, shooting just 6 of 23 (27%), and were also poor at the free-throw line, converting only 3 of 12 attempts[4].

The Jayhawks’ depth and defensive prowess were key factors in their victory. Kansas got points from 11 players and had 36 bench points, compared to 17 for Oakland. DaJuan Harris, despite scoring only two points, was instrumental with six assists and four steals, including three in the early minutes of the second half[4].

Kansas will next host UNC-Wilmington on Tuesday, November 19, at Allen Fieldhouse, while Oakland returns home to face Eastern Michigan on Thursday[4][6]).
