Katerina Siniakova Guangzhou Open 2024

Katerina Siniakova has been in impressive form at the 2024 Guangzhou Open, advancing to the quarterfinals with convincing wins in her earlier matches. The Czech tennis player, ranked 48th in the world, secured a straightforward victory over Alycia Parks in the second round, winning 6-1, 6-4.

In her match against Parks, Siniakova demonstrated strong service games, putting 62% of her first serves in and winning 79% of the points behind her first serve. She also broke Parks four times after converting 80% of her break points and conceded no breaks throughout the match, saving seven break points.

Siniakova’s performance in the tournament has been stellar, with her not losing a single set so far. She previously defeated Petra Martic 6-2, 6-1 to reach the quarterfinals. Her overall record in the tournament reflects her dominance, having won 59% of the points she played.

In the quarterfinals, Siniakova is set to face Bernarda Pera, a match that will be their seventh encounter. Siniakova holds a 5-1 head-to-head advantage over Pera, including a 4-0 record on hard surfaces. The last time they met, Siniakova won 6-3, 6-1 in the qualifications in Adelaide earlier this year.

The match against Pera is scheduled for Friday at 1:00 pm on Centre Court, with Siniakova favored to win based on the initial odds and her recent form.
