Katy Perry Concert Postponed for Nuggets Playoff Game in Denver

Denver, Colorado – Katy Perry‘s concert at Ball Arena on Thursday, May 15, is postponed due to a scheduling conflict with the Denver Nuggets‘ playoff game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The concert was originally planned as part of her Lifetimes Tour.
Ticketmaster had been selling tickets for both events until Tuesday afternoon when promoter Live Nation announced the change. Perry’s performance is now set for July 10 at Ball Arena, with all previously purchased tickets remaining valid for the new date.
The Nuggets are currently engaged in the NBA Western Conference Semifinals, and this game marks the third home matchup in the series. According to promoters’ contracts, the NBA game takes priority over a concert when both are booked at the same venue.
Live Nation, which regularly books events at Ball Arena for the Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche, confirmed the rescheduling. Perry’s concert was announced in late January and was slated to start at 7 p.m. However, the NBA game time has not yet been established.
This isn’t the first time a concert has been rescheduled due to a Nuggets game this playoffs. An April 29 show by Kylie Minogue also faced a conflict, as it coincided with a game against the L.A. Clippers.
A publicist for Ball Arena did not respond to requests for comment regarding the changes.
