Kendrick Lamar and SZA Kick Off Grand National Tour in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — Kendrick Lamar and SZA brought their Grand National Tour to Lincoln Financial Field on May 5, 2025, in what promises to be a memorable night for fans.
The concert, scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m., will see both artists take the stage at approximately 8:15 p.m. After months of speculation, it was confirmed that a DJ will open the show. Doors to the venue will open early, at 5:00 p.m., allowing fans to arrive, get settled, and begin enjoying the atmosphere.
The forecast for the evening predicts rain, but concert organizers note that the event will go on “rain or shine.” Concert delays only occur in instances of severe weather, such as lightning or heavy winds, which pose safety risks.
Ticket sales are still ongoing, with some available throughout the stadium. Fans interested in purchasing tickets can explore various options online, but should be cautious of limited view listings. Resale sites like Stubhub also provide options, though safety is advised when buying tickets online.
Parking lots at Lincoln Financial Field will open as early as 1:00 p.m., with notable higher prices this season: $40 for regular vehicles and $80 for oversized vehicles. Lot K is expected to be the first to open and is usually a popular spot for tailgating.
With the Philadelphia Phillies not hosting a game and no other major events scheduled at the Wells Fargo Center nearby, traffic is expected to be manageable as over 60,000 attendees journey to the concert.
As fans prepare for the show, it’s important to note that umbrellas are prohibited inside the venue, following the NFL Clear Bag policy. Attendees are encouraged to bring clear bags no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches and small clutches no bigger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.
With a spectacular lineup ahead in 2025, including other major artists like Tate McRae and Post Malone, this concert is set to kick off an exciting season for live music in Philadelphia.
