Kentucky’s Koby Brea Cleared to Play Against Georgia
Kentucky Wildcats guard Koby Brea, the reigning SEC Co-Player of the Week, has been cleared to play in Tuesday night’s game against Georgia. Brea, who was previously listed as questionable, is now available for the Wildcats’ first true road game of SEC play in Athens.
Brea’s availability comes as a relief for Kentucky, which is looking to build momentum after a win over Florida last week. The Wildcats are currently focused on strengthening their roster through the transfer portal, having added 15 scholarship transfers this season.
Georgia’s De’Shayne Montgomery, who averages 13.5 points per game, was also cleared to play after being listed as probable in the previous report. The Bulldogs will rely on Montgomery to counter Kentucky’s offensive firepower.
The SEC’s new basketball policy requires teams to update player statuses the night before conference games, with final updates provided no later than 90 minutes before tip-off. Players are designated as ‘available,’ ‘game-time decision,’ or ‘out’ in the final report to provide clarity for fans and analysts.
Kentucky will be without Kriisa, who remains sidelined following surgery on a broken foot. Despite this, the Wildcats are expected to field a full squad for the matchup against Georgia.
