Kentucky Players Prepare for NBA G League Elite Camp in Chicago

CHICAGO, Ill. — Kentucky guards Jaland Lowe and Amari Williams will showcase their skills at the 2025 NBA G League Elite Camp from May 9 to 11 at Wintrust Arena. This annual scouting event allows players to impress NBA teams before the June draft.
Lowe, a 6-foot-1 point guard who transferred from Pittsburgh, averaged 16.8 points and 5.5 assists last season, earning All-ACC honors. Known for his quickness and leadership, he is expected to start for Kentucky in the 2024-25 season but can return to school if he decides to withdraw from the draft by May 28.
Williams, a 7-foot senior originally from England, played a vital role for the Wildcats this past season. He averaged 10.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, and over three assists in nearly 23 minutes per game. His impressive 7-foot-6 wingspan gives him unique versatility on the court, and he is currently ranked No. 63 on ESPN‘s draft board.
Both players have the opportunity to earn invitations to the NBA Draft Combine, which will take place from May 11 to 18, also at Wintrust Arena. The combine draws scouts and representatives from all 30 NBA teams to evaluate top draft-eligible prospects.
Lowe and Williams will join Kentucky wings Koby Brea and Otega Oweh, who have already secured spots at the combine. Oweh has until May 28 to decide whether to stay in the draft or return to Kentucky.
Chepkevich, Director of Scouting for Draft Express, confirmed Williams’ invite to the G League Elite Camp. A strong performance could lead to a combine invite, adding to the anticipation for Kentucky’s talent in this year’s draft.
The NBA Draft will be held June 25-26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. With increased expectations for both Lowe and Williams, this camp offers them a vital chance to boost their professional prospects.
