Kenya Chad International Friendly Football Match

MARRAKECH, Morocco — Kenya‘s national football team, the Harambee Stars, will take on Chad in an international friendly match on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Stade de Marrakech. The game is set to kick off at 8:30 PM IST.

Kenya currently ranks 111th in the FIFA standings, while Chad is significantly lower at 177th. The Chadian team has struggled recently, remaining winless in their last 12 games. This friendly serves as preparation for both teams as they head into their upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Fans can watch the match live on Fanzone TV via YouTube and on Kenya’s official Facebook page. This will be the first meeting between the two teams.

The match comes during an international break for both teams. Kenya’s head coach, Benni McCarthy, is keen to assess the squad ahead of crucial World Cup qualifying matches later this year. “It is important to find the right combinations as we prepare for the qualifiers,” McCarthy said in a statement.

Chad’s coach, Tahir Zakaria, is also eager to use this opportunity to build his team. “We are looking to turn our fortunes around,” Zakaria said. The match marks a significant opportunity for both nations, as they aim to improve their competitive status in African football.

The Stade de Marrakech, opened in 2011, can accommodate over 45,000 spectators, presenting a vibrant atmosphere for the encounter. With both teams desperate for a win, fans will hope for an exciting match in the Moroccan heat.
