Baltimore Ravens Vs Pittsburgh Steelers 2024

The Baltimore Ravens are set to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in a high-stakes AFC Wild-Card game, which could mark the final home appearance for several key players. With 21 free agents and significant contract decisions looming, the game carries added weight for the franchise’s future.

Among the notable players is offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley, who signed a five-year, $98.75 million extension in 2020. Stanley, 30, reworked his contract in 2024, taking a $7.5 million pay cut, and is set to become a free agent after the 2024 season. Despite injuries, Stanley has reestablished himself as one of the NFL’s top left tackles, earning a 71.0 overall grade and a 79.6 pass-blocking grade this season.

Versatile offensive lineman Patrick Mekari, who can play both tackle and guard, is another player whose future is uncertain. Mekari has been a reliable presence on the line, but the Ravens’ salary cap constraints could complicate his return.

Wide receiver Nelson Agholor, who re-signed on a one-year deal, has contributed 14 catches for 231 yards and two touchdowns this season. His performance could attract interest from other teams in free agency.

Fullback Patrick Ricard, a veteran known for his blocking and occasional offensive contributions, has played about 40% of snaps this season. With the Ravens facing financial pressures, Ricard’s role may be reevaluated.

Linebacker Malik Harrison, re-signed to a one-year deal last spring, has shown flashes of potential and could draw interest on the open market. Meanwhile, offensive guard Ben Cleveland, who has seen limited playing time this season, may seek a fresh start elsewhere.

Cornerback Brandon Stephens, once considered a candidate for a contract extension, has struggled in coverage this season. His 50.7 coverage grade ranks 175th among NFL cornerbacks, making his future with the team uncertain.

Wide receiver Tylan Wallace, a special teams standout, has also been productive on offense with 11 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown. However, the Ravens’ salary cap situation could force his departure.

As the Ravens prepare for their playoff clash with the Steelers, the game could serve as a farewell for several players who have been integral to the team’s success in recent years.
