Kings Dominate Jazz, Extend Winning Streak to Five Games

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Sacramento Kings continued their impressive run on the road with a commanding 118-101 victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.

Keegan Murray led a balanced scoring effort for Sacramento, finishing with 26 points as seven Kings players reached double figures. The win marked Sacramento’s fifth victory in their last seven games, highlighting their potential as a playoff contender.

“We played team basketball tonight,” Murray said after the game. “Everyone chipped in, and when we share the ball, we are tough to beat.”

The Kings shot 52.9% from the field, knocking down 15 of 36 attempts (41.7%) from beyond the arc. Zach LaVine added 22 points and eight rebounds, while DeMar DeRozan contributed 19 points and eight assists. Jonas Valančiūnas provided a spark off the bench with 15 points and seven boards.

“Every game is important for us right now, and we want to keep building momentum as the season progresses,” LaVine said.

Utah struggled to find consistency, with Walker Kessler leading the Jazz with 25 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists. Despite a strong individual performance, the team fell to 2-4 on their current nine-game homestand.

The opening quarter saw both teams playing cautiously, tying at 22 before Sacramento took charge. LaVine initiated a personal 8-0 run in the second quarter, boosting the Kings to a 55-46 halftime lead.

The Jazz attempted to respond in the third quarter, narrowing the gap to 60-59 following a 13-5 run. However, Sacramento answered back with a 7-0 rally, reestablishing a comfortable lead.

“We just didn’t play with the energy needed to win,” Kessler said. “We need to find a way to be more consistent and finish games stronger.”

In the fourth quarter, the Kings extended their lead to as many as 22 points, showcasing their offensive depth and defensive prowess. With their key players in rhythm, Sacramento’s victory served as a significant statement against a Jazz team trying to recover after multiple losses.

With this win, the Kings remain poised for a strong finish to the season as they embark on a four-game road trip, hoping to build upon their current streak.
