Los Angeles Kings Vs Edmonton Oilers Game 5

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Los Angeles Kings will host the Edmonton Oilers for Game 5 of their first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series on Tuesday, April 29, at Crypto.com Arena. The series is tied 2-2 after the Kings won the first two games at home and the Oilers took the last two in Edmonton, creating a high-stakes showdown.

In this playoff series, both teams have shown their strengths and weaknesses. The Kings started strong, securing victories in Games 1 and 2 with scores of 6-5 and 6-2, respectively. However, momentum shifted when the series moved to Edmonton, where the Oilers bounced back and won Games 3 and 4, including a thrilling 4-3 overtime victory last Sunday.

In Game 4, the Kings initially took a 3-1 lead, with goals from Trevor Moore, Warren Foegele, and Kevin Fiala. The Oilers fought back, with Evan Bouchard scoring two goals in the final period, including one to tie the game with just 30 seconds remaining. Leon Draisaitl then clinched the win for Edmonton with a power-play goal in overtime.

“That’s our identity in here. We’ve built that years ago. It’s a mentality that we have, that we’re never going to quit, no matter what,” Draisaitl said. “We’ve shown that in the series so far.”

The Kings, coached by Jim Hiller, are looking to regain momentum at home. “It’s painful, but that’s playoffs,” Kings forward Phillip Danault said. “It’s 2-2, it’s back to even. Now we go back home and play hard.”

Game 5 will be broadcast nationally on TBS and is set to face off at 10 p.m. ET. For fans without cable, streaming options are available through services like Sling and FuboTV, some of which offer free trials.

As the teams prepare for this crucial matchup, tensions are high, and both sides are determined to gain the upper hand in the series.
