Kings Sign Guard Terence Davis to Rejoin NBA Roster

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento Kings have officially signed guard Terence Davis, according to a report by ESPN‘s Shams Charania. Davis returns to the NBA after a stint in the G League where he averaged 14.3 points per game on 40.2% shooting from beyond the arc this season.
During his previous time with the Kings from 2021 to 2023, Davis played in 64 games, recording an average of 6.7 points in just over 13 minutes per game. His tenure was cut short due to a ruptured Achilles injury sustained while playing for the Rip City Remix last season.
Following a training camp deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, Davis did not make the final roster, leading him to join the Wisconsin Herd in the G League while he awaited another NBA opportunity. He was particularly noted for his shooting ability which adds valuable depth to the Kings’ wing positions.
The Kings face a challenge with their current roster, as sixth man Malik Monk is sidelined due to a calf injury sustained against the Detroit Pistons on Monday. Monk has missed the last two games because of ongoing issues related to a back ailment.
Davis’s return is seen as a critical move to bolster the team’s performance as they navigate through injuries. Coach Mike Brown commented on the importance of depth in the player rotation, especially at this time of the season.
“Having someone like Terence, who has experience and can create his own shot, is invaluable for us right now,” Brown said. “He knows the system and can step in and make an impact immediately.”
As the Kings look to maintain momentum in their playoff push, fans will see how Davis integrates with the team as they prepare to compete against their next opponent.
