Pm Kisan Samman Nidhi 2024

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to release the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on October 5, 2024. The government will transfer more than ₹20,000 crore to over 9.4 crore beneficiary farmers across India. The distribution ceremony is scheduled to take place in Washim, Maharashtra.

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, eligible farmers receive a total of ₹6,000 annually, paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000 directly to their bank accounts. This scheme targets small and marginal farmers owning up to two hectares of land, aiming to provide financial assistance to boost their agriculture and livelihood.

The previous, 17th installment was released on June 18, 2024, from Prime Minister Modi’s parliamentary constituency, Varanasi, benefiting approximately 9.26 crore farmers. This time, around 25 lakh new farmers have been added to the beneficiary list.

Recipients can check their installment status by visiting the official website, pmkisan.gov.in. The process involves accessing the “Farmer’s Corner” and selecting “Beneficiary Status” where they can enter either their Aadhaar number, bank account number, or mobile number. Additionally, farmers can verify their eligibility through the “Beneficiary List” option by providing the required geographic details like state, district, sub-district, block, and village.

To continue receiving benefits, farmers are required to complete their eKYC using their Aadhaar-linked mobile number. The government has emphasized the need for completing this process to maintain eligibility for the scheme’s benefits.

The PM-KISAN initiative is recognized as one of the world’s largest direct benefit schemes, designed to ensure financial inclusivity and support to the country’s agrarian community.
