Knicks Coach Criticizes Officiating Ahead of Game 4

INDIANAPOLIS — As the New York Knicks prepare for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals, Coach Tom Thibodeau is vocal about his frustrations with officiating, specifically regarding Jalen Brunson‘s foul troubles.
“Some of the plays, they’re 50/50. They can go either way. I’m looking, he’s taking charges and he’s getting called for blocks,” Thibodeau said. His comments come after Brunson faced significant foul issues during the Knicks’ Game 3 victory, where he accumulated four fouls in the first half.
Brunson has struggled with foul trouble throughout these playoffs, having picked up five fouls in Game 1 against the Miami Heat and fouling out in Game 5 against the Boston Celtics in the previous round.
Thibodeau expressed particular discontent with a blocking call that was made against Brunson in Game 3, a decision he challenged unsuccessfully. “You challenge it and they still say … I’ll leave it at that,” he commented on the failed challenge, indicating his disappointment in the officiating process.
The Knicks will look to secure a win in Game 4 to strengthen their position in the series, while Brunson hopes to stay on the court without foul trouble.
