Knicks Lose Game 5 as Chalamet Cheers Alone in Boston

BOSTON, Massachusetts — The New York Knicks faced a setback in Game 5 of their playoff series against the Boston Celtics on May 14, 2025. With superstar Kylie Jenner absent, the Knicks’ chances at victory diminished.
Timothée Chalamet, who attended the game with fellow Knicks fans, shared his experience courtside at TD Garden. His partner, Jenner, was enjoying a beach vacation, posting photos from afar. “Vacation ky activated,” she captioned her sizzling beach photos.
Despite the support of his girlfriend in spirit, Chalamet could not change the game’s outcome. The Knicks managed to force a Game 6 at Madison Square Garden but fell short this time, with a final score of 91-78.
“It’s going down,” Chalamet wrote on Instagram, posting a video of the game from mid-court. The actor previously celebrated the Knicks’ resurgence earlier in the series, including a thrilling Game 2 win.
Chalamet’s excitement for his team contrasted sharply with the mood in Boston. Celtics fans booed him during his appearance on the scoreboard, a stark contrast to the cheers he received at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks led the series 3-2 and are looking to regroup for the next matchup. They will need to overcome the absence of star Jayson Tatum for the remainder of the postseason, which could level the playing field.
Chalamet and Jenner have been linked romantically since early 2023, often seen supporting each other at various events, including the recent David di Donatello Awards in Rome.
