Og Anunoby Basketball Game Highlights

INDIANAPOLIS — OG Anunoby displayed a rare moment of emotion during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday, helping the New York Knicks secure a 106-100 victory over the Indiana Pacers. With the Knicks down by four and under four minutes remaining, Anunoby blocked Aaron Nesmith’s shot and delivered a few pointed words, energizing his team.

“OG was terrific,” Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said after the game. Anunoby finished the night with 16 points, shooting 6-for-9 from the field, including hitting 4-of-6 from three-point range.

His scoring was crucial, particularly during key moments of the game. Anunoby’s three-pointer at 10:38 in the third quarter cut the Pacers’ lead to 10, and another three-pointer at 7:44 brought the Knicks within 13 points after falling behind by 16.

“Just shooting my shot with confidence, not worrying about missing,” Anunoby said on Monday. “Just shooting good shots and it will even out over time with a greater sample size.”

In addition to his scoring, Anunoby played strong defense, contributing three blocks and a steal. His improved defense against former teammate Pascal Siakam was critical, especially after Siakam scored a career-high 39 points in Game 2.

“Pascal is a great player, so after that Game 2, I wanted to make it as difficult as possible on him,” Anunoby remarked. “We’re competing right now.”

With the Knicks investing heavily in Anunoby, the team needs him to take on a leadership role moving forward. His fiery performance on Sunday demonstrated the tenacity they seek.

As they prepare for Game 4 on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET, the Knicks look to tie the series. After a much-needed win, the pressure is now on the team to deliver once again. The upcoming match will take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where Indiana has posted a strong home record this postseason.

The Knicks aim to build on their momentum, hoping to capitalize on Anunoby’s performance. Fans await to see if they can continue the trend of being strong on the road against a capable Pacers team.
