Knife Threat Bryant Park Florida

LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. — A chaotic scene unfolded at Bryant Park on Friday when Craig Griffin, 33, allegedly waved a knife attached to a pole and threatened park-goers. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) responded to calls about the incident around 4 p.m.

According to witnesses, Griffin was shirtless and accused several people of stealing his belongings. He was reportedly rummaging through bags while brandishing a pocket knife.

Later, Griffin returned with a long metal pole that had a knife affixed to its end. Victims reported that he threatened to stab them, with one witness indicating he aimed the weapon at her throat.

Law enforcement officials apprehended Griffin outside a nearby condominium and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. There were no reported injuries during the incident, but it left many park visitors shaken.

The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the case as they gather statements from witnesses and victims.
