Kobe Bryant On Court During Final Nba Game

LOS ANGELES, CA – Kobe Bryant, a Los Angeles Lakers legend, is celebrated for his remarkable skill and unyielding mentality. Few NBA superstars have demonstrated such a commitment to one franchise over nearly two decades as Bryant did. The 18-time All-Star and five-time NBA champion is often regarded as one of the best players to ever step on the court.

Bryant’s final game on April 13, 2016, was a testament to his greatness. He scored an impressive 60 points against the Utah Jazz, showcasing his legendary talent as he waved farewell to a roaring crowd at Staples Center.

Chris Hodges, a two-time NBA champion and former Chicago Bulls guard, trained with Bryant and shared insights into his relentless work ethic. ‘When I was working with Kobe, I would have to remind him our word was “extension,”’ Hodges recalled. ‘Because Kobe shot so many balls, not just shooting them, but thinking about shooting them, that he was always onto the next one.’

Hodges emphasized the importance of focus in Bryant’s training, saying, ‘I’m like, “Nah bruh, stay there with that one.” I loved working with him because of his mental focus and preparation.’

During his own NBA career, Hodges excelled with over 45% shooting from beyond the arc in three seasons. He acknowledged that while his training contributed to Bryant’s jump shot, it was primarily the mindset that set Bryant apart.

Bryant’s legacy extends beyond statistics. His remarkable dedication, focus, and killer mentality solidified his place among basketball’s elite, making an indelible mark on the sport.
