Santa Clara, California – Fullback Kyle Juszczyk is officially returning to the San Francisco 49ers on a two-year contract worth $8 million, a source confirmed to ESPN‘s Adam Schefter on Saturday.

This transition comes after a brief separation when the 49ers released Juszczyk on Tuesday, only to re-sign him shortly thereafter. At 33 years old, Juszczyk had previously renegotiated his contract last offseason, opting for a pay cut to remain with the team.

According to the source, Juszczyk agreed to sign with San Francisco for less than other offers he had received. Notably, he was among the first free agents the 49ers’ head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch brought aboard after they took over the organization in 2017.

Juszczyk has made a significant impact on the 49ers’ roster, earning Pro Bowl selections after each of his first eight seasons with the team. He was recognized as a first-team All-Pro in 2023 and a second-team All-Pro in 2024.

During his tenure with the 49ers, he has accumulated 212 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 60 carries. Additionally, he has caught 184 passes, amassing 1,895 receiving yards and scoring 13 touchdowns.

Originally drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, Juszczyk has recorded 378 receptions for 2,664 yards and 18 touchdowns throughout his entire career, paired with 237 rushing yards and six touchdowns.

The 49ers are expected to integrate Juszczyk back into their offensive strategy as they continue to build on their successful track record in recent seasons.
