Kylie and Jason Kelce Consider Gender-Neutral Name for Fourth Child
Kylie Kelce, wife of former NFL star Jason Kelce, revealed on her podcast that she and her husband are considering a gender-neutral name for their fourth child. The couple, who already have three daughters—Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 1—are exploring names that align with their previous choices. “We have to lean a little bit towards those sort of gender-neutral names for our fourth,” Kylie said during the Jan. 9 episode of her podcast.
Kylie explained that choosing a distinctly feminine name for their fourth child might not sit well with their older daughters. “If we do a full commit to a girly name at this point, it would not sit well with the other three,” she said. “Eventually, they’ll be like, ‘Why did they get a cute girly name?’” The couple’s naming philosophy reflects their desire to maintain consistency within their growing family.
The Kelces, who married in 2018, have a history of unique name choices. Kylie shared that they initially considered naming their first daughter Charlie but decided against it after several friends chose the same name for their children. “We debated Charlie for our first, and then within, I think, six months, we had three different friends who named their kid Charlie,” Kylie recalled. “Wyatt is a Wyatt, but I love the name Charlie.”
Kylie announced her pregnancy in November 2024 with a photo of her three daughters wearing matching “Big Sister” sweaters. The photo captured the girls’ varied reactions to the news, with Wyatt covering her ears, Elliotte smiling, and Bennett in tears. Kylie later revealed on her podcast that Bennett, in particular, has struggled with the idea of a new sibling. “Bennie feels deeply and personally victimized by the fact that we chose to give her another sibling,” Kylie said on the Dec. 4, 2024, episode.
Jason Kelce, who retired from the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, has also shared his thoughts on expanding their family. During a November episode of his podcast, New Heights, co-hosted with his brother Travis Kelce, Jason expressed contentment with their growing family. “I think four beautiful little girls is a very magical number,” he said. “You can always go for the starting five.”
As the Kelces prepare to welcome their fourth child, they remain focused on creating a harmonious family dynamic. Kylie hinted that this might be their last addition, saying, “I think it might get shut down after this one.” Whether they choose a gender-neutral name or another unique option, the Kelces’ naming tradition is sure to continue making headlines.
