Lafc Vs Vancouver Whitecaps Bc Place

Los Angeles FC, currently sitting in fourth place in the Major League Soccer (MLS) standings, is set to face off against the 14th-place Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 7:30 PM ET. The match will be held at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, and can be watched on Apple TV and streamed via Apple TV+.

LAFC enters the game on a strong note, having secured two consecutive shutout victories. In their last match, they defeated Sporting Kansas City 3-0 away from home, with goals from David Emmanuel Martinez Morales, Aaron Long, and Cristian Olivera. This win continues their impressive form, with LAFC having scored 58 goals in 32 matches, ranking eighth in MLS in scoring.

Vancouver, however, is looking to bounce back from a recent slump. The Whitecaps were defeated 1-0 by Minnesota United FC in their last match, marking their third consecutive game without a win. Vancouver has scored 50 goals in 32 matches this season, placing them 16th in MLS, and has conceded 45 goals, ranking sixth in goals allowed.

The injury list for both teams is significant. LAFC will be without key players such as Denis Bouanga, Cristian Olivera, and Jesus Murillo, while Vancouver will miss Ryan Gauld, Fafa Picault, and several other key players.

Despite the injuries, LAFC’s scoring differential, with 58 goals scored and 41 conceded, ranks fourth in MLS. Coach Steven Cherundolo’s team has a positive head-to-head record against Vancouver, having won three of the last five meetings between the two teams.
