Lakers Even Series with Timberwolves in Thrilling Game 2 Win

Following a missed shot from Minnesota’s Torian Prince, James sprinted down the court for an easy layup set up by a long outlet pass from Dončić.

“It’s easy,” Dončić said about their play. “I know what he’s going to do. He’s going to beat his defender, and I just throw it up.”

This combination quickly energized the Lakers, putting them ahead 7-4 in the first quarter. The team flipped the script on their previous game as they improved their fast-break scoring to 13-6 against Minnesota.

Dončić finished the night with nine assists, while James contributed 21 points and 11 rebounds. This victory tied the series at one game apiece ahead of Game 3, set for Friday evening in Minneapolis.

“You got to be at the right spot at the right time or you got to make the connection, or he won’t pass you the ball like that,” James noted, highlighting the growing trust between him and Dončić.
