Lakers Eye Trade for Nets’ Cam Johnson Amid Championship Aspirations

“Cam’s shooting can really open things up for our stars,” Redick said. “He has shown consistently throughout his career that he can convert corner threes at an elite level, making him a perfect addition for our offensive strategy.” Johnson has connected on 44.1% of his corner three-point attempts, making him a dangerous weapon when working off drives from James and Dončić.

In addition to his scoring prowess, Johnson offers versatility on the defensive end as a 6-foot-8 combo forward. His presence could help mitigate some defensive mismatches, particularly guarding quicker perimeter players, thereby alleviating some of the pressure on Dončić.
