Lakers Overpower Bucks in Bronny James’ Second Start
LOS ANGELES, California — The Los Angeles Lakers secured a 119-95 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, with Bronny James earning his second career start.
Bronny played a total of 10 minutes during the game, contributing one assist, one rebound, and one steal but failed to score. He logged just four minutes in the first half, missing both his attempts from three-point range, and returned in the fourth quarter during garbage time as the Lakers led comfortably.
After holding a strong 31-point advantage at halftime, the Lakers continued to dominate in the second half. Luka Doncic led the scoring for Los Angeles with 41 points, adding nine rebounds and six assists. Austin Reaves and Deandre Ayton supported with 25 and 20 points, respectively.
In Bronny’s first start last season, he made a historic debut next to his father, LeBron James, against Portland, finishing with four points. Fans noted the contrast in his performance this time.
LeBron remained sidelined due to sciatica, having worked with the South Bay Lakers this week to ramp up his recovery through full-contact practices. Rui Hachimura and Marcus Smart were also unavailable for the game.
Giannis Antetokounmpo paced the Bucks with 14 points, but the rest of the starters struggled, combining for just nine points. The Lakers’ offensive strength proved too much for Milwaukee.
With this win, the Lakers improved their season record to 10-4. They will face the Utah Jazz in back-to-back games on Tuesday and Sunday, starting with a home matchup.
