LeBron Scores 42 as Lakers Top Warriors 120-112

LOS ANGELES (AP) — LeBron James delivered a dominant performance with 42 points, 17 rebounds, and eight assists, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a 120-112 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night at crypto.com Arena.
The Lakers, who have won four straight and 10 of their last 12 games, saw James outshine Stephen Curry, who scored 37 points for the Warriors. Austin Reaves added 23 points, while Gabe Vincent contributed 15 points, including five 3-pointers, to support James’ efforts.
Los Angeles built a commanding 26-point lead in the first half, fueled by James’ 18 points in the second quarter. However, Golden State mounted a late rally, trimming the deficit to 109-104 with 3:40 remaining. James responded with a crucial 3-pointer with 1:08 left, securing the Lakers’ win.
Curry, despite a 37-point effort, shot 13 of 35 from the field and missed 15 3-point attempts. He achieved a personal milestone by attempting 20 3-pointers, the fifth-highest in his career.
Meanwhile, Luka Doncic, recently acquired by the Lakers, watched from the bench but received a thunderous ovation during introductions. Doncic is expected to make his Lakers debut Monday, adding further excitement to an already surging team.
James also made history by becoming the oldest player in NBA history to record 30 points and 15 rebounds in a game, surpassing his own record for the second time this season.
Both teams will be back in action Saturday, with the Warriors facing the Chicago Bulls and the Lakers hosting the Indiana Pacers.
