Lee Corso, the 89-year-old stalwart of ESPN‘s College GameDay, will miss his second consecutive week on the show due to health issues. According to Rece Davis, the host of College GameDay, Corso is currently under the weather and will not be present for the Week 7 broadcast from Eugene, Oregon.

Corso, who has been a part of College GameDay since its inception in 1987, expressed his regret for missing the event, particularly as it is being held in one of his favorite college towns. “He’s not going to be here this week. He’s doing better. He’s been a little bit under the weather for the last couple of weeks,” Davis said. “I talked to him earlier, and he said he was sorry he was missing his best friend, The Duck”.

This absence marks the third on-site broadcast Corso has missed this season, including the overseas trip to Dublin, Ireland. Corso’s health has been a recurring issue since he suffered a stroke in 2009, and his absences from the show have become more frequent in recent years.

Despite Corso’s absence, the College GameDay crew will be joined by Emmy-nominated actress and Oregon alum Kaitlin Olson as the celebrity guest picker. Olson, known for her roles in “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and HBO’s “Hacks,” will return to her alma mater to cheer on the Oregon Ducks as they face off against the Ohio State Buckeyes.
