Leeds and Burnley Celebrate Promotion to Premier League

LEEDS, England — Leeds United and Burnley have secured their places in the Premier League for the 2025-26 season following dominant performances in their recent matches. Leeds achieved promotion thanks to a resounding 6-0 victory over Stoke City on Monday, while Burnley triumphed over Queens Park Rangers 5-0.
Leeds United, led by manager Daniel Farke, were clinical in their match against Stoke, showcasing their attacking prowess. Goals from multiple players, including Joel Piroe and Aaronson, helped solidify their chances of winning the Championship title in the final weeks of the season.
Farke expressed his excitement after the match, saying, ‘If there is really something to celebrate, believe me I will be a fire beast.’ Leeds’ impressive goal difference means they could clinch the title with a couple of victories in their remaining fixtures.
Meanwhile, Burnley, under the guidance of Scott Parker, demonstrated extraordinary form. They dismantled Queens Park Rangers with a powerful display, highlighted by goals from Josh Cullen and Jeremy Sarmiento. Parker praised his team, stating, ‘It was a classy performance — we were pretty ruthless and I asked for that.’
With this victory, Burnley has now gone 32 matches unbeaten in the league, setting their sights on a coveted championship title as they approach the season finale. They currently sit at the top of the table with 100 points, three ahead of Leeds.
Both teams will now focus on their final fixtures, aiming to finish the season strong and build momentum heading into the Premier League next year. This marks a significant achievement for both clubs, particularly for Leeds, as they return to the top flight after two seasons in the Championship.
