A charity football match featuring legendary players from Bradford City and Leeds United is set to take place this Sunday at Silsden FC. The event aims to raise funds for dementia-related causes supported by Allan Gilliver, affectionately known as Gilly, a former Bradford City player from the 1970s.

Among the revered Bradford City players confirmed for the match are Lee Duxbury, Gary Jones, Dean Windass, Edinho, James Hanson, Filipe Morais, Luke O'Brien, Simon Ramsden, Graeme Tomlinson, Paul Bolland, Scott Kerr, Kevin Sanasy, and Lee Elam. The team will be under the management of Terry Dolan.

On the Leeds United side, the lineup includes Jermaine Beckford, Ross McCormack, Bobby Davison, Andy Couzens, Jamie Forrester, Paul Green, David Norris, Dylan Kerr, and Ben Parker. The team’s manager is John Stiles.

The charity event at Silsden AFC’ stadium kicks off at 2pm, with admission at £5 for adults and £2 for under-16s. Attendees can enjoy refreshments such as alcohol, soft drinks, and food while witnessing these football legends in action.

This noble initiative not only supports important causes but also raises awareness about dementia, a condition that affects many individuals worldwide.
