Lehigh Football Game Action

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh University continued its impressive winning streak with a dominant 38-3 victory over Holy Cross on Saturday. The game, held at Goodman Stadium, featured a standout performance from the Mountain Hawks, who racked up 518 total yards of offense and allowed just 215 yards from their opponents.

Junior running back Luke Yoder was a key player in the game, rushing for 142 yards and two touchdowns, bringing his season total to over 1,000 yards. Sophomore quarterback Hayden Johnson also had a strong showing, throwing three touchdown passes, two to senior Geoffrey Jamiel and one to junior Mason Humphrey.

The Mountain Hawks’ defense excelled, limiting Holy Cross to only 20 rushing yards. Lehigh’s defensive unit recorded four sacks, with senior linebacker making 1.5 of those. After a shaky opening drive, the defense quickly asserted control, forcing a three-and-out for Holy Cross.

Lehigh took the lead early in the first quarter, executing a six-play, 63-yard drive that culminated in a touchdown pass from Johnson to Humphrey. Holy Cross managed to get on the board with a field goal but couldn’t keep pace as Lehigh’s offense heated up.

The Mountain Hawks expanded their lead with a 42-yard touchdown run from Yoder just before halftime, ending the second quarter at 14-3. A series of solid drives in the second half allowed Lehigh to pull further ahead, starting with a field goal and followed by a 45-yard touchdown pass from Johnson to Jamiel.

As the game progressed, Yoder capped off the scoring with a one-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Johnson finished the day with 174 passing yards, while Jamiel had 66 yards receiving. The victory moves Lehigh’s record to 10-0 for the season, marking their best start since 2001.

Next, Lehigh will travel to Colgate next Saturday, eager to maintain their undefeated streak. The game will air on ESPN+ and be available on FOX Sports Radio 94.7 FM and 1230 AM.
