LEICESTER, England – Leicester City will be without midfielder Aaron Ramsey as they prepare to face Blackburn Rovers at the King Power Stadium this weekend. Ramsey sustained a hamstring injury in last week’s match against Millwall and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.

Manager Marti Cifuentes confirmed that both Stephy Mavididi and Bobby Decordova-Reid may return to the squad, having missed the previous two games. The team hopes to build momentum after recent struggles, as they seek back-to-back wins.

“It’s bad news. He’s got a hamstring injury. He will be some weeks off. It’s a significant injury,” Cifuentes said about Ramsey. “Mavididi has been training well. Over the last 10 days, he’s been training with the group. He’s looking good.”

Cifuentes expressed optimism about Bobby Decordova-Reid’s recovery as well, stating, “He’s training well and is probably ready for the game.” However, there is concern regarding Jeremy Monga, who has been ill. “We’ll take the final decision today with the medical team,” he added.

Facing Blackburn Rovers, Cifuentes respects their versatility and experience. “They can play with a back four or a back three. They have an experienced manager and players at Championship level. We need to stay together. The players appreciate every time the supporters come out to back them, especially now.”

Leicester will seek to turn their fortunes around after winning only once in their last eight matches, aiming to satisfy the home fans.
